Reading: The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Read the passage. Then write a short summary in your own words.

A shepherd boy watched his sheep near a village. He got bored and shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!” The villagers ran to help, but there was no wolf. He laughed at the trick.

Later, he lied again. The villagers came and were angry when they found no wolf.

One day, a real wolf attacked the sheep. The boy cried for help, but no one came because they did not believe him. The wolf killed many sheep. The boy learned that people do not trust liars, even when they tell the truth.
